The KitchenAid Artisan 6.6L Lift-Up Bowl Stand Mixer is truly powerful. It brings together our most powerful motor (6), largest bowl capacity and professional lift-up bowl design, plus our signature classic curves and iconic design.
It is ready to work even the most difficult doughs, to easily mix dense ingredients and work larger quantities without effort. Designed to take on any challenge, the 6.6L stainless steel bowl can mix the dough for 13 dozen cookies (2), or 10 dozen cupcakes (4), or 14 pizzas (5), at once alone. The quiet, high-efficiency motor gives you the power you need to mix heavy cake mixes, whip large quantities of cream or work thick doughs.
When the going gets tough, the bowl rises
People who often find themselves processing large quantities of ingredients tend to choose a stand mixer model with a lifting bowl, where the head remains locked in place. A stand mixer with a lifting bowl is perfect for large quantities because it is even more powerful and robust.
How does it work? The lever allows you to gently lower and raise the bowl, which remains securely in place thanks to the 3-point lock, which guarantees maximum stability. The ergonomic handle makes it easy to position and lift the bowl, even when it is full.

Planetary movement from gentle to fast and accurate
KitchenAid stand mixers were among the first to be equipped with “planetary movement”; this means that the mixer head rotates in the opposite direction to the rotation of the accessory, for fast and thorough mixing. The whisk performs spiral movements that reach more than 60 contact points in the bowl, in order to obtain complete and homogeneous mixing.
This Artisan 5KSM70SHX model features 11 flexible speeds, selectable with the slide of the lever, giving you precise speed control and variation, with the lowest speed to incorporate (a setting equal to half the mixing speed) designed to take care of of the incorporation normally carried out by hand. This speed is gentle enough to protect delicate ingredients and keep air in the dough.
The lifting bowl is also equipped with a Soft Start function, which avoids splashes by gradually accelerating towards the chosen speed.
