The nipple releases milk when the baby swallows actively
The natural responsive nipple cooperates with the baby’s natural feeding rhythm, allowing breastfeeding and bottle feeding to be combined with ease. The nipple has a unique opening that only releases milk when the baby actively swallows. Therefore, when you pause to swallow and breathe, the flow of milk also stops.
Natural support with breast-shaped nipple
The wide, soft, and flexible nipple is designed to mimic the shape and feel of a breast, helping baby latch on naturally and feed comfortably.
The perfect fit for small mouths
Our newborn pacifier is specially designed to fit small mouths and faces. Its lightweight, ringless design makes it ideal for use as a starter pacifier, and it is suitable for babies up to 6 months of age. The shape and size of the nipple help your baby make an easy transition to our Philips Avent Ultra Air and Ultra Soft pacifier ranges, so that their natural sucking needs are always met.
It’s important to find the right nipple
We all learn at our own pace. Sucking is a skill, and some babies develop it faster than others. That’s why our “first flow” nipple (nipple 0) might initially be beneficial for some babies before they start using the natural response nipples. Switch to the “first flow” nipple if it takes your baby more than 20 minutes to drink 50 ml/1.7 oz when using the natural response nipples. Try a natural response nipple with a higher flow if your baby plays with the nipple instead of drinking or if they seem frustrated. If feeding difficulties persist, consult a healthcare professional.
Designed to reduce colic and discomfort
The anti-colic valve is designed to keep air away from your baby’s tummy during feeding, to help reduce colic and discomfort.
Non-drip nipple design prevents spillage and milk loss
The nipple opening is designed to release milk only when the baby is feeding. You can confidently prevent milk loss, whether at home or on the go.
Choose the right nipple flow for your baby
Every baby feeds differently and develops at their own pace. We design a variety of flows, so you can find the perfect one for your baby and thus personalize your bottle. All naturally responsive nipples are made of soft silicone.
Same products with new navigation
We’ve moved to a rhythm-based flow navigation system. Start with the nipple that comes with the bottle. Try a lower flow if milk is leaking from the baby’s mouth or if the baby is swallowing loudly. Try a higher flow if the baby is playing with the nipple instead of drinking or if they seem frustrated. As we make this update, you may receive packs of either style.
Easy to use, simple to clean and quick to assemble
The wide neck of the bottle makes it easy to fill and clean. Only a few parts are needed for quick and easy assembly.
Easy to hold even for small hands
The ergonomic bottle is easy to hold at any angle and provides maximum comfort during feeding. Both your hands and the baby’s hands will have no problem grasping it.
Bottle brush with curved head allows for easy cleaning
The curved brush head and molded tip of the handle allow for thorough cleaning by reaching the corners of all wide-neck bottles, nipples, and lactation products*.
Compatible with the entire Philips Avent line
Mix and match our breast pump, bottle, and cup parts, and create the product that’s right for you when you need it.
Natural response nipples and bottles are BPA-free*
Philips Avent’s new naturally responsive bottles and nipples are made from BPA-free materials*.
Be patient while baby gets used to it
Our new natural response bottles are different from bottles with unregulated flow. As with breastfeeding, it might take a couple of tries to get it right. That’s perfectly natural.
